About me
I am María, mum to Catalina and Lucas, doula, writer and yoga teacher.
Like many of us, motherhood transformed me. It caused a 180-degree shift in both my personal and professional life. And one of the conclusions I reached after my two pregnancies and two births was that motherhood can feel very LONELY.
Regardless of our family or social situation, in this century we raise children alone and without help. You can be surrounded by people and still feel that no one truly understands your situation. We are mothers who are gestating, raising children, and healing past wounds — all at the same time.
In the past, mothers did not have this feeling; they were surrounded by women who understood, listened to and helped them. Although we cannot return to that era, I want to offer here whatever help — small or great — I can give you. Listening without judgement, presence, support. I would like to understand your story and share your burden so it becomes more bearable. I am not here to give you advice or tell you what to do; I want to be that safe space where you can ask the questions that frighten or embarrass you.
This space is for you to raise your child the way YOU want, not the way society dictates.
